Renegotiating Dreams 3

Turkey stared blankly. What? What did he just say? He was...interested in him? What was that supposed to mean? He didn't even have a chance to wrap his head around the question before Russia took a step towards him.

Russia didn't even really know what he was doing, as he leaned down and captured the Turk's lips in a short kiss. He pulled back suddenly, well he guessed that confirmed it. He definitely had a bit of a crush on Turkey. He needed to go research this a bit more. "Well I guess I shall be pursuing you from now on Sadiq~" He then exited through the open kitchen window, and walked off through the garden humming.

Turkey just stood there for a second before running over and slamming the window shut. What. The. Hell. What had that been? Russia had just kissed him and then walked out of his kitchen. Had he missed something? He did a quick recap in his head. Russia is sitting in his kitchen. He naturally asks Russia why he's there. Russia says he came to see him. He tells Russia he doesn't have time for kids messing with him because they think it's funny. Russia says he's not there because he thinks it's funny. He asks then why is he here? Russia says that he's interested in him, kisses him, says that he'll be pursuing him from now on, and then leaves through the damn window like a nutjob. Nope, he hadn't missed anything. Then where the hell had that come from? Was this the kid's idea of a joke? Turkey wouldn't be surprised. Should he just ignore it then? He guessed he couldn't do much else....wait a minute. Turkey froze. How did the creepy bastard know his human name?!

While Turkey was trying to get things straight in his head, Russia was heading for Germany's house. Normally Russia would not consider going to Germany for anything but, he hadn't seen those books in any library or store since. He knocked on the door briskly, and a voice inside yelled "Be right there!" Then there was a crash inside, causing Russia to stare at the door oddly. The door finally opened showing a slightly unkempt Germany, who quickly tried to straighten himself up as he opened the door. He stopped, a little shocked to find Russia standing on his doorstep.

"Ah Hello Germany I came to ask you something." Russia said simply.

"Erm Yes, ah Come in?" Germany said awkwardly holding the door open a little further. Russia walked inside, hands behind his back, looking a tad.....nervous? Germany shook his head, how did that make any sense? "So, what was it you wanted to ask Russia?" Germany said glancing over his shoulder quickly as if making sure no one was there.

Hm, Germany was oddly jumpy today. Russia wondered if he had interrupted something. "I came to ask, if I could borrow one or two books from your library."

Germany stared blankly. Russia wanted to borrow books from his library? He guessed that was fine, he couldn't really imagine what Russia would want in there though. "Ja, that's fine. I don't mind if you bo-" Germany was cut off by another loud crash from the kitchen. He turned quickly "Just go ahead and take whichever books you'd like!" Germany said before running back towards the kitchen.

Russia stared after Germany for a second before walking over to a pair of ornate double doors. He quickly pushed them open and stepped into Germany's library. It really was quite impressive how many books Germany had acquired over the years. He was looking for two specific ones however. He walked over to the shelves and began perusing.

Germany stared at the mess in the kitchen. This is what he got for allowing Italy to use his kitchen while Prussia was home. Prussia and Italy both stared at him up from the floor. "May I ask what you were doing?" Germany said sternly crossing his arms.

"Nothing West, Honest! I just had this idea for the best dessert ever!" Prussia said jumping up onto his feet.

"Ah, I'm sorry Doitsu" Italy said standing up looking a little wobbly "I really thought it would work..." Germany facepalmed. Italy was still calling him that? He thought the habit would eventually drop, but ever since Japan had said his name in Japanese one time. Italy had decided it was cute, and had never stopped. Germany decided to let it drop, he guessed it didn't really matter...

"Just....clean it up" He said walking back out into the front hallway to find Russia standing there, firmly holding two books.

"Ah, Germany, I found the books I was looking for. Thank you for allowing me to peruse your library." Russia said heading for the door.

" It was no....problem" Germany said slowing down a bit upon viewing the books Russia had sought. 'How To Tell The State of One's Emotions Towards Another' and 'How to Develop a Relationship'. Russia quickly opened the door and left the house no sooner than Germany had had a chance to read the titles. Well that was strange. Was Russia after someone? Germany could only pity the target. Another crash sounded from the kitchen, but he had more important things to worry about now.

Russia got home quickly and sat down in one of his sitting room chairs. He hoped these books would be helpful. He set them down on the sidetable and pulled up a footstool. 'How To Tell The State of One's Emotions Towards Another' seemed a likely first candidate. Russia opened the book and began to read.

Meanwhile Turkey was trying to push the entire event out of his head. He was having some difficulties however. It really wasn't easy to just forget someone kissing you, then jumping out of your window. He still couldn't figure out why Russia had done it either. Had he been serious? Was he really out to pursue him....romantically? Turkey shuddered, this didn't seem like it would end well if that was the case. How were you supposed to react to someone declaring their intentions like that out of the blue? And if that was in fact Russia's true intentions, how was he supposed to deal with it? He paused, he'd never had anyone pursue him romantically. He'd never even really attempted it himself. He had no idea what to expect. He found himself hoping that it had in fact just been a joke. After all, why would anyone bother with him of all people? Turkey tried to calm himself. Yeah, it had probably just been a joke....right?

Renegotiating dreams 2

Turkey felt uneasy, he could have sworn he was being watched. He turned around quickly, but there was nothing on the street but some guy with a briefcase walking in the opposite direction. Turkey scanned the street carefully but could see nothing. He turned back around and kept heading for home, blaming the feeling on mere paranoia. He walked up his driveway and stopped in front of his door. He fumbled around in his hoodie pocket for his keys, pulled them out, unlocked the door, and stepped inside. Gosh he felt tired, that meeting had been boring, and it had been way more difficult than it should have been to get back home. He walked into his living room and slumped on the couch. It wasn't very long until he fell asleep, unaware of a pair of violet eyes observing him.

Russia hadn't had this much fun since he had stalked China back during World War Two. Although Turkey was a bit more....alert than China had been. There had been a point where Turkey had turned around suddenly, forcing Russia to dive behind a bush drawing an odd stare or two. But that was alright, Russia liked a challenge. He kept a bit more covert than he had been and followed Turkey at a distance. He watched as Turkey walked up to a Dark green house, opened the door with a key, and walked inside. Russia walked up to the house casually, taking his time to observe the house and its surroundings. When he got up to the door he noticed a mailbox next to it. There was an envelope sticking out slightly. Curious, Russia pulled out the envelope and looked at it. The recipient was listed as "Sadiq Adnan". Russia smiled slightly, well now he knew his human name. Pocketing the envelope Russia reached for the door handle. Feeling it turn easily he smirked, Turkey hadn't even bothered to lock it. Walking into the main hallway, Russia stopped to admire the house. It really was a interesting looking little place, although perhaps a bit messy. He walked a bit further in and noticed an opening to the left. It opened into a living room and there, resting on the couch, was Turkey. Russia walked into the living room and stopped in front of the couch. He almost chuckled, the guy was still wearing that mask. Russia wondered once again why he bothered wearing it. Well, he might as well satisfy his curiosity. He reached down slowly and tugged on the edge of the mask. Turkey shifted slightly causing Russia to pause. He decided to be a little more careful, pulling the mask off very slowly. There! He had it off. Russia stared down at Turkey's face expecting perhaps some sort of deformity. What met his eyes was quite the opposite. Turkey's face was actually quite.....good looking. Which confused Russia even further. Why wear the mask then? Russia just stayed there staring at Turkey for a while. Slightly tanned skin, a strong jawline, perfectly straight nose, Turkey had quite a few admirable qualities. Russia was almost stunned with himself at how attractive he was finding Turkey at the moment. Shaking his head suddenly he turned away. It was very strange, this was turning out to be more interesting than he would have first guessed. Returning the mask to its owner's face, Russia walked out to the kitchen and sat in a chair thinking hard. His heart was thumping slightly, well that was very interesting. He vaguely remembered reading something about a feeling similar to this. What was it called again? He rested his head on his head. A crush? Yes, that's what it was called he believed. He'd developed a crush on the medditeranean nation? "Well that was fast" Russia mused to himself. A crush huh? Now how to deal with this new set of circumstances.....

Turkey woke up slowly. Ouch, his back hurt. That's what he got for sleeping like that. He stood up slowly cracking his back. He was getting old, that sucked. Ah well he was hungry. He walked out into the kitchen and froze noticing someone sitting in one of the chairs. Russia....Russia was sitting in his kitchen, head on his hand, smiling at him. Turkey felt like he'd just walked into an episode of the twilight zone, and he definitely wasn't expecting what was coming next. "Greetings
котенок, How are you this afternoon?"

Turkey stared at Russia for a minute, this was absolutely surreal. Why was he in his house? What did he just call him? "Why.....are you in my house?" Turkey managed to get out after much brain struggling.

"I wanted to see you!" Russia said still smiling cheerily. Unbeknownst to Turkey, Russia had decided that he gets what he wants, no matter how difficult the process.

Turkey was starting to get a little ticked however "Listen Brat, i'm tired and I don't have time for kids running around bothering me because they find it funny." Russia's eyes widened. Well, well, well, it seems as if Turkey was willing to stand up to him. That was quite a rarity. Russia admired the fact that he didn't seem frightened at all by him being in his kitchen, just agitated.

Russia giggled slightly, causing Turkey to falter a bit "But I didn't come here because I find this funny~." Ok that was a slight lie, he had at first. But now he was trying to get Turkey's attention. He had no real idea what he was doing anymore. He supposed America would call it 'winging it'. He wasn't sure how to deal with a crush at all. So he just smiled tilting his head slightly.

Turkey crossed his arms. "Oh, then why are you here?" Russia stood up and crossed the kitchen to stand in front of Turkey still smiling. Turkey had to stop himself from taking a step back. Dang, Russia was tall Turkey thought looking up at the Northern nation.

"I am here, because I am interested in you"

Renegotiating Dreams Chapter One

Russia drummed his fingers on the meeting table impatiently. The meeting still had not started due to several nations still being missing. Among them were America, England, and Turkey. No sooner had Russia listed off the missing nations in his head, that the meeting doors burst open.

"Ahaha! The hero has arrived" A loud obnoxious voice called from the doorway.

"Shut up you obnoxious Git!" called a second voice. Russia tilted his head to look at the doorway. There stood a positively beaming America, and right behind him, a rather irate looking England with his arms crossed. England walked over to Germany and apologized for their lateness, mentioning something about abominable driving skills. America simply kept grinning and went to sit down.

"Well that's everyone accounted for except for Turkey....." Germany began walking to the front of the meeting table. "... And if no one has seen him?" He said gazing around the table prompting several headshakes and shrugs from the gathered nations. " Then I guess we will have to start without him." Germany reached for his briefcase to begin when a loud voice made him stop.

"Hey, Hey, Hey Don't go starting without me!" Russia turned his head curiously, and crawling in through the window was a masked man in a green hoodie.

"Oh right, Turkey," Russia thought to himself. He hadn't had that much contact with the Nation's representative himself since World War One, but He knew that his Boss and Turkey's boss were trying to keep things peaceful. He'd only ever really viewed the nation as an annoying obstacle to him getting a warm water port. Ah, It seemed at times as if the whole world was against his dream of living in a warm place. He snapped the pencil he was holding. No, it really wasn't fair at all.

Lithuania was leaning as far away from Russia as he could. "Just my luck" he thought. "First I get seated next to Russia and now something has set him off." He couldn't really lean away any further without falling out of his seat but Russia had just snapped his pencil and was now smiling rather eerily. Lithuania wasn't sure what had caused it, but now Russia was in a foul mood, and there was still an empty seat next to the intimidating northern nation. Lithuania pitied Turkey, it was the only seat left.

Turkey was in a bit of a foul mood, stupid taxi driver didn't want to drive him all the way to the meeting place, and then somebody had locked the front door behind them. He had to crawl in through the window like a burgler or something, and now the only seat left open was next to Russia. Brilliant, He knew his boss wanted him to keep things amicable between them, but the creepy bastard had only ever attacked him or been just generally a jerk in the past. He never could get what was up with the kid, whenever they were fighting he would seem so desperate. There was no real reason for him to be that desperate, his country wasn't in danger, so it must've been for something that Russia himself wanted. Turkey sat down warily in the seat next to Russia as Germany began presenting. Hopefully the guy would keep to himself.

Russia glanced at Turkey as the hooded man sat down next to him. He was still wearing that ridiculous mask. "Just another obstacle...." Thought Russia. Although now he wasn't, no one was an obstacle anymore. Russia's dream probably would never be realized, he had already pretty much accepted that. He looked at Turkey again, So his boss wanted him to keep relations steady with this guy huh? He guessed it didn't really matter, it was pointless getting upset about past events. He drummed his fingers on the table, after all he could be a good way to kill boredom. He looked at Turkey again wondering vaguely what was the point of the mask. Yes, a very good way to kill boredom.

Sitting next to Russia tended to give one a creepy and forboding feeling. Turkey tried to focus on Germany's report about Europe's declining economy, but unfortunately it was rather boring and most of the nations were either nodding off or bothering their neighbors. Although now he had gotten himself curious about the reason Russia had seemed so serious in their fights. It wasn't like most of his other fights with European nations, where Turkey could just enjoy the fight. The northern nation would hardly ever say a word in reply to his taunts which, from what he had heard from others who had fought Russia, this was unusual. He glanced at Russia for a second only to regret it as they made eye contact. Russia just smiled creepily at him and looked back up to the head of the table. Turkey blinked once or twice, well that was weird.

Russia stood up at the end of the meeting. It had gone rather slowly as Germany had dragged on for quite a while. He walked out into the hallway and noticed Turkey was right behind him. Well, he had been getting bored of following Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia around, and China just wasn't as much fun to stalk now as he used to be. Perhaps Turkey could be a good target. He turned around "So Turkey, did you find the meeting to be productive?"

He hadn't been expecting that. Russia had apparently just decided to talk to him out of the blue. Not only that, he had asked him a question. "Hm? Yeah, though I kinda felt like my ears were gonna fall off." He replied quickly. Russia giggled, well if that wasn't the creepiest sound he'd ever heard, he didn't know what was.

"Da, Germany can tend to get a bit lengthy with his speech, it sometimes gets.....annoying" The Russian responded. Turkey stared at him for a second, maybe it was the fact that he was talking to him at all, maybe it was how much the last part of that sentence had sounded like a threat, but Turkey was not sure how to respond.

So instead he just shrugged and said "Yeah, whatever, most meetings either end up really dull or turn into a madhouse."

Ah He'd confused him, Russia felt almost smug. He nodded at Turkey still smiling and walked away. It was fun having a new target to bother. Turkey had always sort of intrigued him, so he was looking forward to later, when Turkey would be unawares and Russia could do what he did best. Turkey was slightly confused but shrugged off the incident. He was looking forward to going home, it'd been a weird morning.
